FRIENDS OF THE ORMOND BEACH PUBLIC LIBRARY INC

We purchase books, underwrite online access to ebooks, music and videos. We also provide educational and entertainment programs, and contribute to a number of community based services provided by the library. Including:
Addressing Homelessness
Empowering Youth
Environmental Stewardship
Hunger Relief
Uplifting Families: Children's and Family programs are offered free on a daily basis, with the library van traveling into underserved or remote communities. Programs include emergent literacy skills, and also educationally-based classes for homeschoolers and STREAM-based programs to introduce technology and job skills to families. The library also provides language learning software and classes for those to whom English is a second language, partners with job placement services, hosts resume writing programs, holds virtual High School classes for adults, networks with veteran services, supports and hosts elections, and serves as a vital information and communication source during emergencies such as hurricanes or the recent pandemic.
