MORAL INJURY SUPPORT NETWORK FOR SERVICEWOMEN INC

Our Mission Moral Injury Support Network for Servicewomen, Inc. (MISNS, pronounced “missions”) is a 501(c)(3) is organized for the purpose of providing support to women veterans, current servicewomen, and families suffering from PTSD and moral injury (MI). We do this by conducting research, educating support providers on the effects and treatment mechanisms of MI, and helping Women Veterans and their families get access to healthcare, employment, education, food, shelter, and financial services through our network of partners. A Vulnerable Population We define vulnerable as women veterans who face increased challenges due to a combination of personal, social, and economic factors, including but not limited to mental health trauma, economic instability, social isolation and lack of support, barriers to accessing healthcare, transitional challenges (difficulty in accessing civilian employment, education, or housing systems), previous or ongoing victimization, and other at-risk factors (i.e., minority status, including race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, or gender identity, which may compound vulnerabilities, and/or history of incarceration or legal issues).

Moral Injury Support Network for Servicewomen, Inc. operates four major programs as part of its charity work.

Veterans' Hope Project
The Veterans' Hope Project supports women veterans coping with PTSD by providing food, clothing, financial support, and gift cards to restore stability.
