WOODLANDS DOG PARK CLUB

Lone Star Animal Welfare League's main objective is Spay and Neuter. We have our Fixing Montgomery County Program that consumes the majority of our funding/donations. In 2024, we were able to sponsor over 1000 of these surgeries via low-cost or free opportunities within our community. These sponsorships also include vaccinations and microchipping. This helps keep our communities safe(r) from animal spread diseases and reduce the number of animals that end up in our local shelters. We focus on helping low income, disabled, veteran and senior citizen families with vaccinations and spay/neuter surgery. We have also added a program to microchip animals in and around our local community in hopes of helping animals return to their families quickly if they are lost. We try to do what we can to help take the strain off of our Animal Shelters. Some of our other goals include:

**Raising spay/neuter awareness through distribution of educational materials. We created a coloring book that we share at events and with teachers in our community.

**Save Labrador Retrievers and Lab Mixes through our rescue and adoption programs.

**Promote safe off leash environment and responsible pet ownership practices in our community (we began our non-profit in 2004 and created dog park locations throughout our community).

Since starting as a non-profit we have subsidized the spay/neuter and vaccination of over 9700 dogs and cats through our Fixing Montgomery County Program, as well as rescuing over 750 animals through our adoption programs (giving dogs a second chance at a perfect life).
