Our Vision
We envision a future where the lowest standard of living does not deprive anyone of safety, dignity, or a sense of security. Where housing affordability is upheld as a human right - not dictated by markets or concentrated in forgotten corners of towns. Our Vision
We envision a future where the lowest standard of living does not deprive anyone of safety, dignity, or a sense of security. Where housing affordability is upheld as a human right - not dictated by markets or concentrated in forgotten corners of towns. Where stability is the baseline, and every person has the opportunity to pursue a meaningful life on their own terms.
Our Values
Our values are grounded in real-world experience, field-based service, and a deep commitment to practical solidarity with the people and communities we serve. They are operational principles we act on every day, informing everything we do as an organization - from how we lead to how we serve.
Trust through Transparency
Trust is not built, it is earned. We build trust through radical honesty, shared accountability, and clear communication. In every interaction - whether with clients, staff, or partners - we speak plainly, operate in the open, and follow through on what we commit to. We recognize our mistakes as opportunities to learn and improve and express the humility necessary to foster psychologically safe relationships and to create environments where people feel safe, respected, and informed. We make commitments deliberately without overcommitting and hold ourselves publicly and privately accountable for outcomes without obscuring or deflecting responsibility.
Progress through Partnership
We build progress through relationships rooted in mutual respect and shared responsibility. Our partnerships are guided by a clear purpose: to strengthen the work already being done in communities and to ensure that client needs remain at the center. We collaborate with organizations that hold themselves to high ethical standards and reflect the people they serve. Together, we create the conditions for meaningful coordination by building shared infrastructure, removing barriers that limit access, and reinforcing local capacity. These efforts are shaped by trust, guided by long-term goals, and grounded in the day-to-day realities of service. By staying close to the work and clear in our commitments, we help create systems that are dependable, collaborative, and built to last.
Change through Community
We engage the broader community as a vital part of our work, recognizing that lasting change depends on connection, trust, and shared investment. By building relationships between housed and unhoused neighbors, we work to reduce hostility and foster mutual understanding. Our role is to create space for dialogue, mediate conflict when it arises, and support communities in identifying common ground. We approach advocacy as something earned through presence and reciprocity, helping shift attention toward the systems that produce harm. This work is steady and relational, rooted in the belief that communities grow stronger when people act together with care and purpose. Through long-term commitment, we help nurture environments where people are safer, more connected, and more capable of responding to challenges in collective and sustainable ways.
Who We Serve
Primary Population Anything Helps serves individuals and families experiencing homelessness, at risk of homelessness, or facing related threats to stability. This includes people living unsheltered, in vehicles, in temporary shelter, doubled up, or in other unstable housing arrangements. We also serve people who are housed but in crisis, and those with health, income, or social vulnerabilities that place them at imminent risk.
Targeted Needs Our services are oriented toward people experiencing complex, intersecting challenges: chronic medical conditions, physical disabilities, mental illness, substance use disorders, unemployment, legal system involvement, domestic violence, family separation, and system avoidance. We prioritize those who are excluded from other supports due to behavioral health challenges, documentation issues, active substance use, or noncompliance.
Demographic Diversity We work with people of all ages, genders, sexual orientations, and racial or ethnic backgrounds. Our services are inclusive of transgender and non-binary people, disabled individuals, youth, elders, veterans, and families in crisis. Our client base reflects the diversity of the communities we serve, and our approach adjusts accordingly.
Geographic Focus Anything Helps is headquartered in King County, Washington. While our services are primarily local, we respond to regional needs on a case-by-case basis when they align with our mission and capacity.
Inclusivity We provide services without discrimination based on race, religion, nationality, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or any other protected category. Every program we offer is built to be low-barrier, trauma-informed, and culturally responsive. We are committed to creating environments where all people feel welcome, safe, and seen.
Guiding Perspective We believe that understanding the complex needs of the people we serve is essential to ethical and effective care. Every policy, system, and partnership is designed with this in mind—ensuring that services are human-centered, structurally responsive, and aligned with the lived realities of those most impacted by homelessness.
