Anything Helps is a Washington nonprofit founded in 2021 and headquartered in King County. We serve individuals and families experiencing homelessness, those at risk of homelessness, and people facing related threats to stability, including unsheltered neighbors, people living in vehicles or temporary shelter, those doubled up, and households in unstable housing. We also support people who are housed but in crisis, and those with health, income, or social vulnerabilities that place them at imminent risk.
Our services are oriented toward people with complex, intersecting needs such as chronic medical conditions, physical disabilities, mental health challenges, substance use, unemployment, legal system involvement, domestic violence, family separation, and system avoidance. We prioritize people who are often excluded from other supports due to behavioral health challenges, documentation barriers, active substance use, or noncompliance.
We work with people of all ages, genders, sexual orientations, and racial or ethnic backgrounds. Our services are inclusive of transgender and non-binary people, disabled individuals, youth, elders, veterans, and families in crisis. Every program is designed to be low-barrier, trauma-informed, and culturally responsive. We provide services without discrimination and aim to create environments where all people feel welcome, safe, and seen.
Our mission is guided by three operational values:
Trust through Transparency means we earn trust through radical honesty, shared accountability, clear communication, and consistent follow-through.
Progress through Partnership means we strengthen local capacity by coordinating with organizations that reflect the people they serve, building shared infrastructure, and removing barriers that limit access, with client needs kept at the center.
Change through Community means we engage housed and unhoused neighbors to reduce hostility, foster mutual understanding, and focus attention on the systems that produce harm, using steady relationship-building, dialogue, and practical problem solving.
We envision a future where the lowest standard of living does not deprive anyone of safety, dignity, or a sense of security. Housing affordability is upheld as a human right, not dictated by markets or concentrated in forgotten corners of towns. Stability is the baseline, and every person has the opportunity to pursue a meaningful life on their own terms.
Our guiding perspective is simple: ethical and effective care starts with understanding the lived realities of the people we serve. Every policy, system, and partnership at Anything Helps is designed to be human-centered and structurally responsive to our clients' needs, so that services remain dependable, impactful, culturally competent and relevant.
