RIO GRANDE VALLEY QUILT GUILD

COMMUNITY SERVICE - Quilts, clothing, bibs, stuffed animals and other items are made by members and donated to various individuals and local organizations, e.g., local hospitals, nursing homes, women's shelters, neonatal units, and more. The Guild supports a military service project giving quilts to local veterans.
WORKSHOPS - Nationally known instructors present educational workshops during the winter season (Nov. to Mar.). There is a reduced fee for members.
SCHOOLHOUSE CLASSES - Monthly, Nov to March, a Guild member teaches quilt-related techniques to members. The classes are typically held in Mid-Valley, are limited in size and there is a minimal fee.
SCHOLARSHIPs - Two scholarships are awarded each year to high school seniors planning to study in the field of textile arts.
LIBRARY - Members may check out library books at meetings and returning them at the next meeting. New books are continually being added.
