TRAVIS MILLS FOUNDATION
Mount Vernon, MaineThe Travis Mills Foundation supports recalibrated veterans and their families through various programs that help these heroic men and women overcome physical and emotional obstacles, strengthen their families, and provide well-deserved rest and relaxation. We support these veterans through our nationally recognized retreat located in the Belgrade Lakes Region of Maine. Veteran families who have been injured in active duty or as a result of their service to our nation receive an all-inclusive, all-expenses-paid, barrier-free experience in Maine where they participate in adaptive activities, bond with other veteran families, and enjoy much-needed rest and relaxation in Maine’s outdoors. Our Warrior PATHH program provides the training you need to transform your struggle into strength and thrive in the aftermath of trauma. Warrior PATHH — Progressive and Alternative Training for Helping Heroes — is based on the science of Posttraumatic Growth (PTG). It is the first training program to teach our nation’s veterans to experience lifelong Posttraumatic Growth (PTG). Warrior PATHH has the goal of creating sustained transformation — this is not a catch and release program. The mission of the Recalibrate Program is to extend the Travis Mills Foundation’s mission outside the physical walls of the retreat and programming. When recalibrated service members and their families attend the retreat, they experience a barrier-free environment and adaptive activities that they may not otherwise be exposed to. When families return home, these barriers are restored and not always mediated. This program is designed to address physical, social, and financial barriers that recalibrated service members may experience outside of the retreat.
Our Goal
To provide a fully accessible family retreat for combat wounded veterans, first responders, and their families helping them to discover a new normal for a healthier reintegration when they return home.
