Servants to All is a 501 (C)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to eradicating homelessness through innovative, compassionate, and community-driven services. Since our founding in 2012, we have worked tirelessly to provide shelter, employment assistance, mental health support, and long-term housing solutions. Servants to All is the only homeless program serving the general populations in Schuylkill County. Servants to All provides emergency shelter, homeless prevention, street outreach, street medicine, case management, and serves as a Coordinated Entry Access Site. Servants to All also provides supportive services such as emergency food, clothing, and basic needs. Our day program and administrative office is located on Centre Street in Pottsville.
Servants to All is often the first contact in establishing homeless services in Schuylkill County. As a coordinated entry site, we complete 211 intakes, assessments, and provide referrals to the homeless and at-risk population. Our case managers intervene to help break the dangerous cycle of homelessness. Our role is crucial in assisting low-income households experiencing homelessness or at risk of homelessness. Our approach is to help individuals and families transition from homelessness into stable housing as quickly as possible. This method is centered around empowerment, creativity, and collaboration to address barriers to housing. Each person or family is assigned a case manager or housing specialist to assess their unique circumstances, strengths, and housing goals. The focus is on finding immediate, practical solutions rather than one-size-fits-all programs.
Through our intensive programs, we hope to see the number of households who resolve their housing crisis without needing to enroll in an emergency shelter and reducing the number of households experiencing literal homelessness for the first time. Our goal is to assist clients in identifying safe and appropriate housing options and regaining control over their situation and lives.
We strive to connect individuals to appropriate services, emergency shelter, or other resources based on their needs. We help clients identify strengths, successes and resources they've used in the past and can potentially utilize to help them overcome this episode of homelessness. Creative Problem-Solving is used to brainstorm and identify all possible housing options, including shared housing, reconnecting with support networks, or leveraging existing resources.
Our Homeless Prevention program involves case management and financial assistance to cover security deposits, rental assistance or rental arrears when available. We also connect participants with community resources often used to address urgent needs, allowing for quicker housing solutions. This can include mediation with landlords, family members, or friends to provide temporary housing.
Servants to All provides essential services necessary to reach out to unsheltered homeless people and connects them with emergency shelter, housing, or critical services. Street Outreach focuses on supporting homeless households in achieving some form of permanent, sustainable housing. Our Street Outreach Case Manager provides immediate support, intervention, and connections with homeless assistance programs and/or mainstream social services and housing programs. By providing Street Outreach referrals, we hope to reduce the number of households residing in an unsheltered living situation, including the street and other places not intended for human habitation.
