The Transition Education Project

, FOREIGN BORN MILITARY SPOUSE NETWORK INC

Foreign-born military spouses are often expected to adjust quickly, to a new culture, new systems, and military life, without the roadmap or resources to do so. From immigration and healthcare to career navigation and mental health, the learning curve can feel overwhelming and isolating.

The Transition Education Project exists to close that gap by offering continuous, accessible learning opportunities that empower spouses with the knowledge they need to thrive. Through the Foreign-Born Military Spouse Academy and a suite of resource tools, we make sure no spouse has to figure it out alone.

Key Attributes:

Foreign-Born Military Spouse Academy: An online, self-paced platform covering core topics like immigration, career development, mental health, and cultural adaptation.

Resource Guides: Practical tools including the Foreign-Born Military Spouse Playbook and local chapter playbooks for navigating systems.

Resource Library: A curated hub of vetted tools, links, and contacts, pointing spouses directly to the help they need as both military spouses and immigrants.

Webinars: Regular online sessions on critical topics such as financial literacy, tax preparation, healthcare, mental health, and career navigation, immigration.

Why It Matters:

Spouses often miss out on key benefits, programs, and rights simply because they don’t know they exist.

Accessible education reduces stress, prevents costly mistakes, and improves confidence.

Equipping spouses with knowledge strengthens families, eases transitions, and ultimately supports military readiness and retention.

By funding the Transition Education Project, you are investing in the knowledge, confidence, and stability of foreign-born military spouses, ensuring they have the tools not only to adapt, but to thrive.
