KALEIDOSCOPE THERAPEUTIC RIDING PROGRAM INC

KaleidoScope Therapeutic Riding Program is a nonprofit organization that was developed to help individuals with disabilities develops independence while becoming physically and mentally stronger. KaleidoScope provides 30 minute therapeutic riding lessons for individuals on a weekly basis. The lessons are grouped into four seasons which last nine weeks at a time. Students are instructed through a certified instructor and a horse and with volunteer help if needed. The lesson focus on core muscle group strengthening, auditory processing, gross and fine motor skills, speech development, body awareness, independence, responsibility, self-esteem development/growth, and forming and unconditional bond with an animal. We use games to deliver our therapy which makes every session enjoyable for the student, volunteers and horses alike! Lessons are gear towards helping individuals learn horsemanship skills and riding technique as well. Each lesson is tailored to the clients needs and goals.
KaleidoScope offers a variety of lessons, including but not limited to: Training for Special Olympics with a certified Special Olympic Coaches, Mounted Therapy Lessons, Veteran’s program, and a grooming program that works with the horses on horseman skills on the ground non-mounted.
