COMMUNITY SECURITY SERVICE

The mission of the Community Security Service (CSS) is to protect Jewish life and the Jewish way of life. Our vision is to create an informed and engaged Jewish community that recognizes security as everyone’s responsibility. All activities are conducted on an apolitical, non-denominational basis and are coordinated with law enforcement and the organized Jewish community.

Founded in 2007 by former and current security professionals, including military and law enforcement veterans who joined to protect a Manhattan synagogue, CSS, now with a network of over 20,000 community members across the US, THE ONLY national Jewish security organization that provides professional-grade training and empowers Jews to protect themselves and those they love: their own communities. We are spearheading a movement through which Jews—from college students and young professionals to longtime congregants—can proudly take ownership of the safety and security of their worship and communal life.
