With open hearts and helping hands, our mission is to help those facing food insecurity. We strive to alleviate our neighbors' hunger. We believe access to nourishing, fresh food is fundamental for a strong community. Our food pantry is open to all. We provide special programs for schoolchildren, disabled and homeless veterans, elderly and homebound neighbors.
The Stratford Street United Church (SSUC) is a neighborhood mission-based church right in the heart of West Roxbury. Our progressive and welcoming Christian community started a food pantry in 2016 as a major mission of our church in response to the growing problem of food insecurity in the greater Boston area.
