We believe that one step in restoring dignity to a family who has endured homelessness is to help them create a home that is functional, comfortable, and inviting. Using both donated (and occasionally purchased) furniture and household goods, our team helps to convert a house (or apartment) into a real home - creating a space for people to thrive in.
What started as a small group of friends responding to the needs of a single mom and her 3 children leaving a local Washtenaw County, MI, shelter, has grown to over 100 volunteers serving 35 agencies who refer to us for assistance when a client (individual or family) is transitioning from homelessness. Since our beginning in 2019, we have moved over 800 clients in, serving over 1,000 individuals. Anyone transitioning from homelessness, be that a shelter, their car, a tent, or couch ...
