With just a few thousand dollars, they opened a mental health clinic in the basement of the Jefferson County Courthouse. Since its humble beginnings, Jefferson Center has grown to nearly 700 employees and has expanded the variety of programs offered. Services are now provided at over 23 clinics, 40 schools, and in nursing homes, senior centers, primary care offices, and other community locations.
