Established in 2014 to serve the W. San Jose neighborhoods of West San Carlos/Burbank, Buena Vista, Santana Park, Anderson Village/Starbird Park (all neighborhoods with poverty rates above 10% of total population) and neighborhoods between them, Midtown Family Services provides support for low-income individuals/families in two program areas: navigation services for low income, working, members of the community with basic needs; and reentry of individuals back into the community after incarceration in state prison.
Midtown Family Services Homelessness Prevention program for working individuals and households with at least one working adult assists such individuals/families to become self-sufficient in housing and interdependent domains. Our holistic approach supports individuals/families through case management, needs assessment, financial coaching, direct referrals, and emergency financial assistance.
