Our mission is to provide a setting in the community for all US Military Branch veterans and their families to have fellowship and share each other’s burdens. The center not only serves as a veterans’ haven, but it also serves as a veterans’ resource outlet referring veterans in the proper direction for any assistance they may need with their VA benefits, etc. The primary focus is to provide assistance to veterans who suffer with PTSD.
The Veterans Community Center is a non-profit, self-funded organization privately owned and operated by Jim and Jeanne Rounsavell of Citrus Heights who purchased one of the city’s last surviving historical markers, the Old Sylvan Schoolhouse, in April 2013.
