The mission of Capital Workforce Partners (CWP) is to leverage public and private resources to produce skilled workers for a competitive regional economy. It is responsible for coordinating a regional workforce system that meets the changing employment and training needs of employers and job seekers in support of economic growth and vitality in the Capital region of 37 municipalities and is led by a consortium of the region's chief elected officials.
Capital Workforce Partners (CWP) is the Regional Workforce Development Board authorized under the Workforce Investment and Opportunity Act (WIOA) to administer the American Job Center system in North Central Connecticut. CWP manages 7 American Job Center (AJC) locations across the region, as well as a virtual call/resource center, to flexibly meet the needs of under- and un-employer jobseekers.
