CAPITAL WORKFORCE PARTNERS INC

Capital Workforce Partners (CWP) is the Regional Workforce Development Board authorized under the Workforce Investment and Opportunity Act (WIOA) to administer the American Job Center system in North Central Connecticut. CWP manages 7 American Job Center (AJC) locations across the region, as well as a virtual call/resource center, to flexibly meet the needs of under- and un-employer jobseekers. CWP coordinates an array of subsidized occupational training initiatives, which typically include tuition coverage, case management, supportive services (e.g., bus passes, work uniforms), and job placement supports (interview prep, resume writing, job development, etc.).

CWP supports several special populations with priority services and tailored resources, including low-income individuals, persons of color, Opportunity Youth (youth under age 24 that are out-of-school and out-of-work), Returning Citizens (formerly incarcerated), individuals with disabilities, and veterans.

CWP also supports local businesses and industries through sector strategies, which are coordinated through Regional Sector Partnerships. CWP is the co-convener of Regional Sector Partnerships in Healthcare, IT/Tech, and Transportation Distribution & Logistics, and also supports several Manufacturing groups.
