Texas RioGrande Legal Aid (TRLA), originally Texas Rural Legal Aid, is a nonprofit organization that provides free, high-quality civil legal services and related education to low-income residents throughout 68 counties of South, West, and Central Texas. Since 1970, TRLA attorneys have worked tirelessly in service of our mission: to promote the dignity, self-sufficiency, safety, and stability of low-income Texans. TRLA’s vision is that all Texans, regardless of economic advantage, will have access to justice. TRLA is the leading provider of free legal aid in Texas and one of the largest in the country.
