OUR MISSION “THE VETERANS PROJECT” To help needy veterans and surviving spouses by providing bags of food, including frozen items, and personal hygiene products once a month and other essential household items when needed and available. The program is funded through the sale of donated items in THE THRIFT STORE @ 1202 SALINAS and through financial gifts/grants. All funds raised are used to support the operation’s cost to purchase products for distribution to eligible Military Veterans residing in Webb County and for operational expenses. VSTN is a 501(c)3 organization, tax ID available upon request. VSTN is NOT Federal, State, County, City or United Way funded.
Volunteers Serving the Need provides Groceries, personal hygiene and household items to local Webb County Military Veterans. The Military Veterans in our program are financially challenged and are faced with difficult financial circumstance. Our goal is to alleviate their need to choose between groceries or medication.
