Kamassa Handicap Accessible Splashpad and Rock-Climbing Wall
efter MISSISSIPPI S TOUGHEST KIDS FOUNDATIONMississippi’s Toughest Kids Foundation is in the process of building Camp Kamassa, our state’s first and only year-round fully handicap-accessible camp facility for children and adults with special needs. We will begin hosting camp weeks for kids and adults with serious illnesses, physical and mental challenges, and other special needs this summer (2025). Mississippi has extremely limited opportunities for people with disabilities. This project request includes an accessible splashpad and indoor rock-climbing wall. Our campers are looking forward to swimming in the newly constructed zero-entry fully handicap-accessible swimming pool, fishing from the accessible pier in the six acre lake, playing sports on the accessible sports field, and so much more. Buildings already constructed include 8 open bay cabins, six cabins with private rooms for families, a cafeteria, a medical building, an activity center, a recreation pavilion, and a lakeside building. Future plans include an administrative/conference center, a fully accessible challenge course, a zip line, an archery range, an equestrian center, a tree house, an agri-tourism area, and staff housing. Please help us complete Camp Kamassa. Our future campers deserve incredible summer camp experiences.
