United We Rescue is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting first responders, military service members, veterans, and their families as they heal from the invisible injuries caused by service.
Every day, these heroes face repeated exposure to trauma — critical incidents, violence, loss of life, high-stress decision making, and emotional exhaustion. Over time, this can lead to PTSD, anxiety, depression, sleep disorders, substance misuse, and emotional burnout. When the shift ends or the uniform comes off, the trauma often remains.
United We Rescue exists to ensure that no hero has to face those struggles alone.
We provide peer support, mental health resource navigation, and financial assistance so that access to care is never determined by cost. Our support helps remove barriers to treatment by funding therapies not always covered by insurance, assisting with living expenses while individuals are in care, and walking alongside heroes as they navigate recovery.
In 2025, United We Rescue provided direct, life-changing support to our hero community, including:
• 41 individual peer support contacts
• 2 agency debriefings (in-person and virtual) following critical incidents
• $7,500 toward life-saving ketamine therapy for treatment-resistant PTSD
• $1,150 covering therapy sessions and insurance co-payments
• $1,956 in living-expense assistance so heroes could focus on healing
United We Rescue is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to helping first responders, military service members, veterans, and their families heal from the invisible injuries of service. Trauma isn’t measured only in dollars - it affects attendance, performance, retention, and safety on the job. By removing financial barriers to evidence-based care and strengthening peer support, United We Rescue accelerates healing, reduces long-term costs, and builds a more resilient workforce and community.
What your gift makes possible for workplace safety, continuity, and community impact
• Accelerated access to care: We fund therapy, co-pays, and essential mental health services so heroes don’t wait for treatment. When cost isn’t a barrier, employees return to work sooner, maintain productivity, and reduce absenteeism.
• Measurable outcomes and ROI: Funding targeted treatments and living expenses during recovery supports sustained participation in care, higher adherence to treatment, and stabilizing performance in the months following a crisis.
• Post-incident resilience for teams: Debriefings and after-action support help agencies process incidents, lowering the risk of long-term trauma, burnout, and turnover within critical teams.
• Family stability and community resilience: Healing individuals strengthens families, workplaces, and communities—reducing presenteeism, improving readiness, and enhancing public safety and emergency response capacity.
