Healing Warriors Program is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit providing non‑narcotic, evidence‑based care for veterans, active‑duty service members, National Guard, Reserve personnel, and their families. Our mission is to reduce suicide risk, improve veteran mental health, and strengthen the physical and emotional wellness of military families through accessible, integrative, and trauma‑informed care.
Founded in 2012, Healing Warriors Program was created to address critical gaps in veteran behavioral health, PTSD treatment, TBI support, chronic pain management, and military family wellness. We provide treatment series for PTSD, sleep disturbances, depression, anxiety, stress, chronic pain, grief, detox support, interpersonal trauma, and traumatic brain injuries. Veterans and their families receive three no‑cost treatment series each year, with most clients completing six to nine sessions annually.
Our primary clinic in Fort Collins serves as a regional hub for Northern Colorado and Wyoming veteran services, with expanded locations in Colorado Springs and Aurora, monthly walk‑in clinics in Denver, and special outreach events across the Front Range. This multi‑site model ensures that veterans and military families can access non‑narcotic pain relief, mental‑health stabilization, and integrative wellness services regardless of financial or geographic barriers.
Our Client Care Specialists (CCS) provide personalized care management, connecting clients with community behavioral‑health resources, crisis‑intervention pathways, suicide‑prevention supports, and long‑term stabilization options. In 2024, we served 803 clients through 6,215 treatments, reporting significant reductions in anxiety, depression, and physical pain. Average improvements included a 54% reduction in anxiety and a 53% reduction in physical pain, demonstrating the measurable impact of our non‑narcotic, evidence‑based approach.
Healing Warriors Program is supported by key public‑sector partners, including the VA SSG Fox Suicide Prevention Grant Program, which strengthens our suicide‑prevention and crisis‑intervention work, and the Larimer County Behavioral Health Impact Fund, which expands access to veteran behavioral‑health services across Northern Colorado. These investments help sustain our mission and ensure that veterans and their families receive no‑cost treatment series each year.
