A question about mental health or The Brandon Act does not arise only during an awareness month or a community event. Service members and families need clear information and compassionate support throughout the year.
Through this ongoing program, The Brandon Caserta Foundation helps active-duty service members, veterans, and military families identify available resources and understand possible next steps. We share information about The Brandon Act, which allows service members to self-initiate a request for a mental health evaluation. We also speak with military and community groups about suicide prevention, barriers to seeking care, and ways to support someone who may be struggling.
Donations help us create and share educational materials, improve our online resources, conduct presentations and outreach, and respond to people who come to us looking for guidance. This work helps families find a starting point and helps more service members learn about options for seeking support.
The Foundation was created in memory of Navy Aviation Electrician’s Mate Third Class Brandon Caserta. His parents, Patrick and Teri, know how much it matters for someone to be heard and helped before a crisis deepens. With your support, we can carry that message beyond our annual Lantern Walk and reach people throughout the year.
Help us make information, understanding, and hope easier to find when they are needed most.
