We are continually blown away and in awe of the generosity of the Texoma Community. As each year passes, FOR THE KIDS Benefit Foundation, Inc. has continued to grow and bless more families in the Texoma Area. Each of our board members at FOR THE KIDS Benefit Foundation, Inc. consider it such a blessing and honor to be part of something that is greater than any of us individually. By partnering with our family, friends, participants, sponsors and supporters, we continue to come together and give hope to the hopeless, joy to the sorrowful and help to those in need.

We have decided to supply a letter that incorporates everything we do throughout the year along with the toy run. It is important to us that we remain transparent so that everyone knows exactly where our funds are distributed. In 2025, we took a leap of faith and held a raffle that allowed us to make more money to be used to help families earlier in the year. We also had an unexpected and very generous donation from the Terrors of North Texas. We expect this year to be monumental and to be able to increase the number of individual families that we can help. This year we are hosting a Kid’s Day Event that is free to every child in our community on March 7 and are looking at hosting a free back to school bash in August. While the back-to-school bash is still in the works, we decided that while there are families that may not need financial assistance, they may want to do something fun with their children but are unable to afford it. This is another way for us to give back and touch more people in our community.

Below is a table that has broken down our finances for the past five years. The money raised is through sponsors, donations and participates at our events, while the expenses include but are not limited to tax filings, insurance policies, merchandise, event items, banners and other supplies. While we are a recognized nonprofit organization, we are only allowed two tax-free fundraising events each year. The past four years, we have allocated the Burnin’ Asphalt Run and the Toy Run as those “tax-free” events. That means that at every other event that we hold, we must pay sales tax on items that we sell. In the best interest of foundation, we hire a CPA that handles our annual filings to ensure that we are following the laws put in place for a nonprofit organization.

The annual “FOR THE KIDS” Toy Run is a day that takes a lot of time, effort and support from our community. The most important thing is that WE as a TEAM are making a difference. We are helping a mom, a dad, a grandma, a grandpa, an aunt, an uncle or guardian put a smile on the face of a child they love, a child they provide for, or child that just needs new clothes. There are many great organizations that help families during Christmas but all the money we raise goes directly to the Salvation Army. The “Angel Tree” program not only provides toys for their Angels, but their focus is on providing warm meal for their bellies, the clothing needs of the children and then a few of their wants. Anyone that purchases gifts for the Angels off the Angel tree goes directly to the child. They do not take away from the gifts that people purchase for the Angels, but they make sure that the siblings in the same house receive the same number of gifts/items. All the money we raise and donate stays here in Grayson, Cooke and Fannin County. Our donation is a year-round resource and helps fund the children’s programs provided by the Salvation Army. Every child that we help is considered an “Angel” and below a brief breakdown of the numbers to show how we help the “Angels” with the Salvation Army.

2023 - $75,000 – 372 families with 905 children
2024 - $90,000 – 430 families with 1,045 children
2025 - $100,000 – 485 families with 1,125 children
