On Saturday, December 13, 2025, Neighborhood Housing Services of Southern Nevada (NHSSN) will host its 6th annual community giveback event, "Winter Wonderland 6.0." This contactless food giveaway aims to bring holiday cheer to 600 families in need by providing them with the essentials for a home-cooked holiday meal.
Each recipient will receive a ham or turkey, fresh produce, dairy products (milk and eggs), non-perishable food items, and a cozy blanket for their family. The event is dedicated to supporting low- to moderate-income (LMI) seniors, veterans, and families in Southern Nevada.
“While Southern Nevada's economy continues to recover, many families still face challenges during the holiday season,” said Michelle Merced, President and CEO of NHSSN. “We are proud to host Winter Wonderland, marking the sixth year of spreading nourishing food to our community. With the help of our incredible partners, we’re not only providing food but creating a festive holiday atmosphere.”
In 2024, more than 500 families were entertained by local high student dance and choral groups, visited by Mrs. Claus (Santa was too busy!), and a DJ offered holiday music.
Fund donated through Benevity will be used to purchase food for distribution to LMI individuals and families.
