On Saturday, December 12, 2026, Neighborhood Housing Services of Southern Nevada (NHSSN) will host its seventh annual community giveback event, Winter Wonderland 7.0. This food giveaway will bring holiday cheer to 700 families in need by providing the essentials for a home-cooked holiday meal.
Each household will receive a turkey, fresh produce, dairy products (milk and eggs), nonperishable food items, and a cozy blanket to help families celebrate the season with comfort and dignity. The event is dedicated to supporting low-income and low- and moderate-income seniors, veterans, and families throughout Southern Nevada.
“While Southern Nevada’s economy continues to fluctuate, many families still face challenges during the holiday season,” said Michelle Merced, President and CEO of NHSSN. “We are proud to host Winter Wonderland for the seventh year, providing nutritious food and warmth to our community. With the help of our incredible partners, we’re able to offer not only food and blankets, but also a festive holiday atmosphere.”
In 2025, 600 families enjoyed performances by local high school dance and choral groups, a visit from Mrs. Claus (Santa was busy preparing for Christmas!), and holiday music provided by a DJ.
Funds donated through Benevity will be used specifically to purchase food for distribution to individuals and families in Southern Nevada.
