The Moore Wright Group is proposing The Mobile Resource Connection Center, to help homeless community members to have access to hygiene items, food, clothing, and safety support items to low income, and homeless community members directly to where they are in the community. The Mobile RCC will travel through various Washington Counties.
Grays Harbor County is ranked #3 in the state for poverty. According to the 2021 GH Homelessness Performance for 2021 there is a need to Implement transitional housing for those existing systems of care here in the county. The Moore Wright Group is located in Grays Harbor County at 1401 Simpson Avenue Aberdeen, WA 98520. Grays Harbor County is considered a Rural community with census information of 73,901 residents in the entire county. The racial makeup of the population of Grays Harbor County is majority Caucasian with 87.10% of the population being Caucasian, and only 1.40% of the population being African American. Grays Harbor County does have diversity with 5.60% of the population being Native American, and over 10.30% of the population identifying as Hispanic or Latino. As an African American woman led organization we see ourselves as poised not only to be a great diversity partner but an organization that can be a safe place to service, support, train and teach. The Moore Wright Group is an organization that services over 31 counties and has serviced more than 1.8M families in the state- from those who are survivors of abuse, families with children, veterans, youth, children who are foster care involved, and those who have chronic homelessness. TMWG Mobile Resource Connection Center would make it so that resources can come to where homeless community members can obtain the resources they need, for hygiene and safety which is a daily priority to help all our homeless population to be able to reduce larger risks from lack of access.
