We are a 501c3 nonprofit organization. We write books, host a television show, place historic buildings on the National Register of History Places, Document historical cemeteries where once enslaved people are buried and lost communities. We encourage academic excellence among students. We sponsor historical trips to places such as the White House, National Museums and local museums. We add cultural diversity in a region that is over 90% white. We promote inclusion, peace, togetherness and reconciliation. We brought to the far NW Georgia Appalachian region, its first Equal Justice Initiative Marker for the National Lynching Museum, Montgomery, Alabama. We have the first non-Civil War, not-antebellum home museum in Walker County, Georgia. It is located at 309 N. Main Street LaFayette, Georgia. We host educational programs in the schools. Also, we are adding diversity by incorporating and sponsoring Native American and Latino Events. We sponsor art events, completed Walker County's first non-civil war mural on the external wall of a building. We believe that with education, diversity and remembrance in a positive manner, one can foster positive relationships. We are in the process of development of an African American Memorial and Multicultural Community Park in LaFayette, Georgia. A park for everyone in the county of all cultures, the first such park with memorials beyond the antebellum and Civil War era.
