Founded by Empress Jose Sarria in 1965, it started as a small gathering and quickly grew to become one of the biggest and most popular early human rights charities. Over the years, we have evolved and adapted to meet the changing needs of our community, but under Queen Mother of the Americas Nicole The Great our commitment to providing fun and memorable experiences for all has never wavered. In 2025 we celebrate these 60 years of Noble Deeds.
International Court Council is a 501c(3) non-profit public charity recognized by the United States Internal Revenue Service. In 1965, World War II veteran and the first openly gay candidate for political office (1961), Jose Julio Sarria, was crowned Empress I of San Francisco, and established the first chapter of the Imperial Court System.
