ST JOHN CENTER INC

St. John Center's mission is to create an atmosphere that encourages homeless men to envision a life of hope, take shelter, and find rest by treating each person with dignity and respect, and supporting them in addressing the problems that lead them to homelessness.

The goal of St. John Center for the Homeless is to help the homeless become self-supporting members of society. We accomplish this by providing basics such as shelter, showers, restrooms, free telephone and mail service, and job and housing assistance.
We encourage guests to make positive changes in their lives by offering them free counseling and treatment for alcoholism, drug addiction and mental disease.
St. John Center has been visited well over a million times since its opening in April 1986. Currently, the Center averages between 160-200 visits each and every day of the year, nearly a third of which are veterans.
