VETERANS RESOURCE PROGRAM

RICHMOND, California

Veterans Resource Program (VRP) founded in January 2011, is located in Richmond, CA. Created to assist veterans with housing, educational opportunities that enable them to transition back into society through gainful employment, healthcare and legal services. VRP is a place where veterans can meet, fraternize, and assist one another in acclimating to their surroundings. This includes direct access to VA representatives from the Dept of Veterans Affairs and other veteran service organizations. In these instances veterans are provided information about available resources, the latest VA programs and assistance in filing and following up on disability compensation and pension claims. It is a place where veterans can obtain resources to meet their immediate and future needs, a place where recreational activities and social gatherings are offered, a place where veterans can have computer access, and a place for comfort and relaxation, which allows for those who reside at the VRP adequate space for healing.

The Veterans Resource Program (VRP) is a 501(c)3 non profit organization. The charitable purpose of the VRP includes relief of the poor, the distressed or under privileged military veteran. To remain in alignment with our mission, to assist veterans from homelessness to wholeness, VRP has provided an environment where veterans can heal from the complications of Post Traumatic Syndrome Disorder (PTSD) through providing various programs.
