Only 30% of military veterans complete their bachelor's degree in five years. Many drop out or give in because of social challenges. Even more hide their identity, not wanting to have to explain their decision to join the military in this judgemental and unforgiving environment.
Heroes To Heroes provides a leadership program for veterans on campus based on the values we hold dear: faith, family, duty to country, and the preservation of our constitutional republic. Our values-based 12-month curriculum turns American heroes into American leaders by teaching them how to lead, how to do research to find factual information, how our democracy works, and how to regain their footing in civilian life.
The program includes a journey to Israel where they explore their faith where it all began, to strengthen their foundation. They also learn what it's like to be a democracy in a hostile region, learning the blessings and challenges of faith-based democracy.
Veterans work in teams that are led by a mentor, giving them support throughout their campus years and beyond.
