Sleeping on Cots to get to the Closing Table is a Call To Action. Our Sisters-In-Arms are in desperate need of Affordable Housing in South Carolina. Unhoused Women Veterans and their children are sleeping in cars, cots/tents, parks and uninhabitable dwelling places. PTSD Veterans Village and supporters recognize the urgency of the vital cause at hand. "The Calvary isn't coming, We are the Calvary." When most people think of homeless veterans they rarely fathom Women Veterans being homeless. Women Veterans are twice as likely to be homeless than a woman who's never served in the military. Unsheltered Women Veterans are considered the "Silent Homeless" and for far too long they've been left behind. Unhoused Women Veterans they not only need our help, "She Deserves" our help! Believe it or not many don't want a handout, but they will accept a hand up! “PTSD Veterans Village objective is to EMPOWER Unsheltered Women Veterans to go from HOMELESSNESS to HOMEOWNERSHIP." PTSD Veterans Village will provide case management, emergency housing, mental health counseling, supportive and wrap-around services, job training/placement, computer training, financial literacy programs, permanent housing resources, and transport veterans to VA medical appointments, etc.
This project can change the trajectory of the course of life for our Unsheltered Women Veterans and their children. As we continue to increase awareness to inform Socially Responsible Corporations and many of your employees who served in our Armed Forces. They're our Comrades too! They can relate and understand our plight. Thank you for your attention to this very urgent matter. PTSD Veterans Village primary goal is to get to the closing table within the next 30 to 90 days.
