FATHOM RESTORATION

Fathom Restoration removes underwater debris from Utah's lakes and reservoirs. Volunteer divers and a shoreline crew pull trash, tires, and abandoned equipment out of the water, and we are building toward sunken vehicle removal. What sits on the bottom is part of the water people drink, fish, and boat on.

Fathom Restoration is a veteran-led Utah nonprofit that pulls trash and debris off the bottom of Utah's lakes and reservoirs. We run shore dive cleanups now. Volunteer divers go in from the shoreline and bring debris up by hand, and volunteers who don't dive help sort and haul it on shore.

Our research documents 226 confirmed submerged items across 20 Utah lakes and reservoirs: vehicles, vessels, aircraft and structures, along with the fuel, oil and battery fluids they can carry. Removing the heavy stuff, sunken vehicles included, is what we are building toward.

Donations pay for dive gear, cleanup supplies, disposal fees and the insurance it takes to put volunteers in the water.
