Tangi Animal Friends addresses the cat and dog overpopulation problem in Tangipahoa and the surrounding areas through low cost spay neuter programs, humane education, microchipping, vaccinations, and other animal welfare programs.
Tangi Animal Friends (TAF)was founded in 1995 to address the absence of an animal shelter in Tangipahoa Parish. Once the animal shelter was established, the group shifted its focus to Cat and dog overpopulation which had led to an overfilled shelter with high euthanasia rates.
