Our mission is to provide a continuum of resources to the female veteran community whether disabled, distressed, despondent, helpless, hopeless, and or homeless. The Women Veterans Unity Group is specialized to serve all female military veterans and their families. We provide various events annually to empower military veterans. All WVUG supportive services programs are contributing to our initiative to support our Military/Veterans, end homelessness among Veterans, and support our growing network of Military Veterans as we host our programs, host & co-host community-based programs and activities in support of Military/Veterans & Military/Veteran Families. The purpose is to provide military veterans with resources and other components necessary to overcome their present circumstances and challenges. To motivate, empower, inspire through needed services to include spiritual enrichment the “whole person” to enhance and improve productivity, self-reliance, and self-sufficiency. Our focus is to motivate by establishing a firm foundation to increase and or elevate self-worth through supportive services, referrals, rehabilitation, and a variety of yearly programs & monthly meetings. The Women Veterans Unity Group is responsible for the development of local, state, community, national collaboratives, partnerships, coalitions and organizations to strengthen the links and close the gaps for military/veterans with a focus on gender-specific services. Our programs are developed in response to the unique needs of the population we serve. Some of our programs include but not limited to: Women Veterans Unity Support Meeting at VA GLAHS DRRTP (2006-Present), Saddleback College VETS (2009-Present) Women Veterans Unity Meetings, Inland Empire (IE) Women Veterans Unity Meeting (2014-Present), COVID-19 Support, Women’s Military History Week Yearly Event (2010-Present), Rehabilitation/Recovery Initiative (RRI), Beautification & Empowerment Program, EmployConnect, Vet Children/Youth Connect, Center for Development & Civic Engagement (CDCE) (formerly VAVS), Military Veterans In Prison (MVP), WVUG Holiday Celebration, Trees Initiative Living Trees Military Women Unity Memorial/Unity Path & Gender-Specific Issues.
