The PiP SPED Mentors offer Parent Mentor Consultations for military and veteran families needing specialized support in special education law and disability resources. All PiP members have extensive special education experience (COPAA Seat 1.0, Wrightslaw Special Education training, 2+ years of advocacy) and are well-versed in all military service branch resources, to include the Exceptional Family Member Program (EFMP). PiP also has the first active duty servicemember to join the team, offering support to fellow servicemembers trying to navigate the EFMP, Special education, and career journey in the military.
