HEARTS FOR THE INVISIBLE CHARLOTTE COALITION INC

CHARLOTTE, North Carolina

Hearts for the Invisible Charlotte Coalition (HFTICC) is dedicated to eradicating housing inequities for people experiencing homelessness in Mecklenburg County. Through trauma-informed, dignity-centered, and housing-first street outreach, we meet individuals and families where they are—whether living in encampments, vehicles, shelters, or other places not meant for human habitation—and connect them to the resources, support, and opportunities needed to achieve stable housing and improved well-being. As Mecklenburg County’s lead street outreach agency, HFTICC provides compassionate, person-centered services including coordinated entry navigation, housing-focused case management, emergency shelter connections, healthcare and behavioral health referrals, benefits enrollment, transportation assistance, ID recovery, and basic survival supplies. We believe that every person deserves safety, dignity, and a path home, regardless of their circumstances. By building strong community partnerships and addressing systemic barriers to housing, HFTICC works to create lasting solutions that empower our unhoused neighbors, strengthen community equity, and move Charlotte-Mecklenburg toward a future where homelessness is rare, brief, and nonrecurring.
