VINTAGE FLYING MUSEUM INC

We are currently restoring a Beech18, an aircraft once owned by Jackie Cochran, the founder of the WASPS in WWII. This aircraft will be flown in commemoration of the WASPS, telling the story of the role women pilots played during WWII. We offer guided tours to schools, and other community organizations; "Take Flight Days" for school children; "History in Their Own Words", focusing on veterans and their experiences; Warbird Ride Days offering flights in a variety of aircraft; a traveling exhibit focusing on Women in WWII; and we are currently co-sponsoring "Challenge Air" which offers airplane rides to handicap children. We developed curriculum for teachers, "Lesson Plans That Fly" and a program for after school engineering clubs, "Newton's Airport". The museum is home to a "Rosie the Riveter Memorial Rose Garden", dedicated to all the Rosies during WWII.
