To perpetuate the memory of the soldiers, sailors, nurses, and marines who served the United States of America between February 15, 1898, and July 4, 1902. To Remember and honor the United Spanish War Veterans (USWV), our father organization whom we were chartered by.

The SSAWV is a patriotic and fraternal heritage organization. Founded in 1927, it is non-profit, non-partisan, and non-sectarian. The Sons of Spanish American War Veterans was organized in the Spring of 1927. We are the legal successors of the United Spanish American War Veterans.
