Our mission is to rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome at-risk equines while providing life-changing equine-assisted therapy, education, and community wellness programs that help people heal, grow, and reconnect.
Tecate Horse Rescue (THR) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to rescuing at-risk horses, mules, donkeys, and ponies in rural San Diego County. We provide immediate medical care, rehabilitation, safe sanctuary, and thoughtful adoption placement for equines recovering from neglect, abandonment, or trauma.
