SoCal Worksite Food & Clothing

by RESCUE RESIDENCE

While our focus is on support for veterans experiencing homelessness, the community-style kitchen we plan to build will support our participants and locals with regularly scheduled open kitchen service.

Program participants will have learned to prepare their own meals in this space and will help prepare and serve food to others in the community as a part of their sweat equity plan to pay for their ambulance tinyhome.

Program participants will likely need additional clothing options to conduct interviews and take on new work. We seek to work with The Salvation Army and other programs to help provide clothing options to our participants.

Most of the support for this program will come through donations, coordination, and volunteer support. Project funding is to build the kitchen and dining area.
