Warrior Spirit Project is an all-volunteer organization founded and led by members of the Warrior community we serve. Using evidence-based practices, our therapeutic programs are provided at no cost to active duty military, veterans, firefighters, law enforcement officers, EMS personnel (including dispatchers), and Gold Star family members. Everything we do is guided by our Core Values of Integrity, Compassion, Empathy, Respect, Gratitude, and our WSP Ethos of Selfless Service, Shared Experience, Mission-Driven Action, Right Intention, and Commitment.
Our four programs include:
WSP Yoga - trauma-informed and adaptive yoga and meditation classes focused on activating the parasympathetic nervous system, calming the mind and body, broadening the participant's window of tolerance for stressful events, and opening the door to connection and awareness, leading to a realization of inner peace. These classes also include special Yoga with Horses sessions that provide unique therapeutic impact.
WYTT - 200-hour trauma-informed Warrior Yoga Teacher Training offering transformative opportunities for continuous healing and growth in a safe community of peers, while preparing participants to lead safe and accessible yoga and meditation sessions for the unique physical, social, emotional, and spiritual needs of all Warriors. Graduates are qualified to take WSP Yoga into their own communities as a peer Certified Warrior Yoga Teacher (C-WYT®).
WSP Dirt - organic gardening opportunities in backyards, neighborhoods, local community gardens and small farms, for continuous learning, shared purpose, integration into broader social engagement, and healthy nutrition for the participant and the community.
WSP Honor - bringing together Warriors and civilians in meaningful ways that recognize, acknowledge, and HONOR the reality of the Warrior Ethos and Warrior Experiences past, present, and future, offering inter-generational support for “finding home” with new purpose.
