No Birth is the First Step to No Kill
by HUMANE SOCIETY OF SAGINAW COUNTY INCORPORATEDNo Birth is the First Step to No Kill
The most humane way to reduce pet overpopulation is to prevent unwanted litters before they begin.
Our No Birth is the First Step to No Kill program provides no-cost spay and neuter services for pets belonging to low-income households in Saginaw County. For many families, the cost of surgery is simply beyond reach, even though they deeply love and care for their animals.
By removing that financial barrier, we help families keep their pets healthy while preventing generations of unwanted puppies and kittens from being born into homelessness, neglect, abandonment or overcrowded shelters.
One spay or neuter surgery can prevent countless future animals from suffering.
This program addresses animal homelessness at its source. Rather than waiting until unwanted animals are already in crisis, we work upstream—helping responsible pet owners, reducing accidental litters and creating a healthier, more humane community for both animals and people.
A donation to this program can directly fund a surgery that changes the future for an entire family of animals.
Prevent the litter. Prevent the suffering. Save lives before they ever need rescuing.
