Alma Mater is an independent narrative short film to be filmed in the greater Boulder, CO. area. The project will star Steven Michael Quezada from "Breaking Bad" fame, and will aim to employ a variety of worker's from Colorado as part of the cast and crew.
The film is about a divorced, middle aged dad who takes his two teenage sons on a skiing trip to Boulder,
Colorado, where he attended college back in the 80s. Throughout the trip, he must struggle with facing a past that is long gone, all while pushing down his seething contempt towards his kids.
The film is set to film from April 18-25th of this year, and we're looking to complete our funding to reach our required budget. The budget would go to production expenses, such as lodging and feeding of the cast and crew, getting the necessary production gear, and wages and transportation for the talent involved. Then after shooting, some resources would be allocated to the editing and post production of the film which should take 3-4 months. Once this process is completed, the short would be ready for release and would be submitted to festivals and exhibition platforms.
Alma Mater is produced by KMT Films. An up and coming grassroots production company that aims to create stylistically ambitious and culturally relevant content that will speak to today's audiences. It is a passion project of Writer/Director and Producer Adrian Kader, of KMT Films, and he has worked tirelessly to gather resources and inch the film closer to production throughout the past year.
