Monument Protection Endowment Fund

Veteran headstones are provided and maintained by the federal government, but our Association installs and cares for the larger monuments at the Southern Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery. Since the State does not cover repair or restoration of these monuments—even in state-run veterans’ cemeteries—we need to build a perpetual fund dedicated solely to their upkeep. Every dollar raised will go into this fund, ready to cover inspections, maintenance, and any repairs that become necessary, so that these monuments remain lasting tributes for generations to come.

Goal: Grow a permanent fund to underwrite all future monument care
