The mission of the Washington County District Attorney's Office Victim Assistance Program is to support and aid victims of crime as they move through the criminal justice process; to provide them with assistance, services, and resource information; to promote participation in the criminal justice system by educating victims about their rights, and to advocate for the enforcement of these rights; and to coordinate with other community agencies to ensure continuity of support for victims.
The Washington County DA's Office Victim Assistance Program relies on our Victim Emergency Fund to help provide critical assistance and resources to victims of crime. These funds go toward necessities, including but not limited to, groceries, diapers & formula, clothing, transportation assistance, emergency housing / hotel stays, rental assistance, childcare, relocation costs, property damage repair, security cameras, lock changes, and other urgent safety needs.
