Minicamelots Emotional Support Horses

Miniature horses are able to capture the hearts of young and old alike. Anyone going through difficult times either physically or mentally, can find peace and comfort in just seeing these darling minis, and touching and petting them. They will truly bring ‘sunshine’ to the hearts of everyone they meet! As a certified 501 c (3), our guiding mission is to visit local elderly care facilities, attend local veteran’s events addressing PTSD, and area schools for special needs children, in order to bring joy and happiness. Our American Miniature Horses are chosen for their calm and even disposition. Our horses and volunteers go thru an extensive training program to ensure they are prepared for our visits. Due in part to their disposition and their training, our horses can go inside many facilities and even into rooms of bedridden residents for a hands-on experience.

With the use of selected and trained American Miniature Horses (currently 7 in the program), we reach out to area facilities whose members may enjoy some time with our animals. With proper volunteer training, and equipment, the horses spend time with special needs children, veterans working with PTSD, and elderly persons in residential facilities as a primary focus. Our horses have actually gone inside the facilities, to visit some residents who are bedridden. Although we host some events on the farm, most are at the schools, events, or long term care facilities where the people are.
