In many cases, these birds outlive there human companions or are no longer able to be cared for due to a lot of different reasons. In some cases, they feal they have no choice but to release them into the wild. they will not survive.
We are currently developing a 3 acre property located on
styx river in beautiful Baldwin County AL. This property will include a nature trail with enclosures for the birds leading down to a river walk and open air aviary. Once complete,
people will be able to come walk the trail and enjoy the birds
while learning about them and what it takes to care for them.
We are planning on having a full time vet tech on site along
with an on site facilities and an on call vet, to insure the birds get all the care they need. We are working closely with the USDA to insure full compliance.
For those birds that can be adopted, We have set up a strict
set of guidelines to make sure that the bird is placed in the
right forever home.
We are taking in birds at this time and have begun taking
donations. All donations are tax deductible and receipts for tax purposes are available. we are raising money to cover construction cost and operational expenses.
